Active Travel - Tactran

Active Travel is an important element of Tactran’s Regional Transport Strategy and Delivery Plan. Section 5.3 of the Tactran RTS 2015-2036 Refresh outlines the detailed strategy for Active Travel and section 3 of the associated Tactran RTS Delivery Plan 2016-2021 provides details of Active Travel projects. Progress on individual projects is reported appropriately at Partnership Meetings.

Behaviour Change, Active and Sustainable Travel

Organisations are invited to submit Expressions of Interest to Tactran, for support in the delivery of active and sustainable travel behaviour change projects, under the People and Place Programme for 2025/26. Guidance and Expression of Interest forms are available here.

Tactran Regional Active Travel Network

Tactran Active Travel Audits

Tactran Spaces for People

Tactran have been awarded £302,000 from Sustrans’ Spaces for People initiative to monitor the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on travel in the Tactran Region, in particular assessing the impact of Spaces for People infrastructure and interventions implemented by Tactran’s constituent Councils; assessing trends in our cities/towns and undertaking behaviour and attitude monitoring. Attitudinal surveys are being carried out and the reports are available below:
